Delete your data and keep your account

You can remove your data from Shuffle Up and Deal! without deleting your account. This page explains each way to do it in the app, and what each one does and doesn't remove.

Want to delete the account itself? See Delete your account. Can't get into the app? Use the request form at the bottom of this page.

Deletion in the app is permanent. If you might want your data back, export a backup file first and save it somewhere outside the app: Settings, then Backups.

Ways to delete data in the app

Everything at once: Clear All Data

Settings, then Danger Zone

  1. 1Open the Settings tab and scroll down to Danger Zone.
  2. 2Tap Clear All Data. You'll be offered the chance to export a backup first (Export Backup First or Not Now).
  3. 3On Clear All Data, tap Continue.
  4. 4On Everything will be erased, tap Yes, erase everything.
  5. 5On Last chance, tap Clear everything now.

This deletes your players, tournaments, results, custom venues, blind structures, payouts, action logs and saved photos, on this device and on every other device signed in to your account. The app then sets up the default league, venue, blind structure and payout again so you can start fresh. You need to be online to do this.

Clear All Data does not delete your cloud backups. Delete those separately, as described below.

A single tournament, league or venue

  • Tournament: open the tournament's results, tap Delete Tournament and confirm.
  • League: on the Leagues screen, open the league's menu and choose Delete league. The default league can't be deleted.
  • Venue: open the venue, tap Delete Venue and confirm.

Each of these deletes the item on every device signed in to your account.

A cloud backup

Settings, then Backups

  1. 1In Settings, under Backups, tap Backups & restore. This opens the Backups tab.
  2. 2In the Manual group, tap Delete under the backup you want to remove.
  3. 3On Delete backup?, tap Delete.

This permanently removes that one backup from the cloud. Repeat for each backup you want to remove.

Only backups you saved yourself (the Manual group) can be deleted in the app. The automatic Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Event backups can't. To have those deleted, send us a request using the form below and tick Cloud backups.

Your App Usage data

Settings, then App Usage

In Settings, open App Usage and tap Delete my usage data. This deletes the usage records sent from this install only. Other devices keep theirs, so repeat it on each device. Turn App Usage off if you don't want new summaries sent.

Your TURNER chat history

Settings, then TURNER

In Settings, open TURNER, tap Clear all TURNER history, then tap Clear conversations. This deletes the chats saved on this device only.

It does not delete the TURNER chat records held on our servers. To have those deleted, send us a request using the form below and tick TURNER chat records.

Players

Players can't be permanently deleted one at a time. You can archive a player instead: open the player and tap Archive Player, then Archive. This hides them from your player list and player pickers, but keeps their results in past tournaments.

The only way to permanently delete players in the app is Clear All Data, which removes all of them. To have specific players deleted, send us a request below.

Can't use the app? Ask us to delete it

If you've lost your phone, removed the app, or can't sign in, or you want TURNER records deleted from our servers, send us a request below. A real person handles every request. Nothing is deleted automatically.

  • We'll send you a confirmation email straight away.
  • Before we delete anything, we'll write to the email address your account uses to check the request came from you.
  • Once you've confirmed, we'll handle your request within seven working days and let you know when it's done.
What would you like us to do?
Which data?

We'll only use your email to confirm the request came from you and to let you know when it's done.
